KCDP continues summer party-building activities ahead of fall school board elections

Klickitat County Democrats volunteers have been showing up this spring and summer, attracting hundreds of visitors at festivals in Goldendale and White Salmon and signing up dozens of new subscribers to our email alerts. And we've got more party-building events slated in the coming weeks, too!

These activities are important, because they help connect us with Democratic-leaning voters while also showcasing Democrats' priorities and accomplishments to the community. For example, at the Goldendale Community Days festival July 8, 135 individuals participated in our Bead Jar Survey. Each individual had a chance to place a bead in two jars among 11 total jars, each of which listed a Democratic priority, such as "Reproductive Rights" and "Climate Change." Some visitors who participated in the survey decided to sign up for our email alerts--if, dear reader, you're one of those individuals, welcome!

We've got more events scheduled this summer, and we're looking for volunteers. We'll be at the Klickitat County Fair Aug. 17-20--sign up to volunteer here. We're also going to do two more "Who's Blue" canvasses, one August 12 in White Salmon/Bingen and another Aug. 26 in Goldendale. Sign up for one or both of these canvasses here.

Our volunteers are fantastic! Without them, we'd be pretty much nothing. If you're already volunteering: thank you! If you haven't yet, give it a try. Activism is the single most important way we can preserve our democracy against the well-financed forces of disinformation and authoritarianism.
