Becky Miles steps into PCO position

Becky Miles will be bringing her leadership skills as a key member of the Columbia Gorge Women’s Action Network to the Klickitat County Democrats in her role as PCO. She also served as the treasurer for Sasha Bentley’s run for state legislature in 2018, and she started a group known as Community Upcycle, which counts among its achievements the vote by White Salmon and Bingen City Councils to ban plastic bags and to adopt declarations embracing diversity.

As a PCO, Becky hopes to increase communication within the precinct and to ensure residents know about volunteer opportunities.

“We have an uphill battle—a lot of opportunity, but it will take a lot of work to further our cause in Klickitat County and in the state,” she said. “I see a need to unite our party locally to get more focus on our priorities and values.”

Two key issues for Becky are climate change and election finance reform. She also cited public safety and infrastructure as important causes.

Outside the political arena, Becky is an avid gardener and cook. She likes to read and hike with her dog.
