Thank you to our volunteers!
A total of 42 individuals volunteered for at least one canvass this year, knocking on over a thousand doors in White Salmon, Bingen, Lyle, Dallesport, and Goldendale. At right, several KCDP leaders joined Terri Niles to canvass Bingen during the summer. Mark Browne led the Canvassing Team this past year, putting together about a thousand packets of candidate literature and treating volunteers to tasty scones!
Scores of volunteers enabled us to staff booths at the Goldendale Home and Garden Show, Goldendale Community Days, the Klickitat County Fair, and the Huckleberry Festival, and to join various local parades.
Dozens of volunteers wrote WAY over a thousand postcards to new county residents during the summer and to rural county voters this past fall. In this photo, postcard writing volunteers crank out postcards for new county residents.
In the lead up to the election, dozens of volunteers waved signs to passing motorists in Bingen, White Salmon, and Goldendale.
Encouraged and organized by team leaders, a couple dozen KCDP members wrote scores of letters that were published in local newspapers to warn about Trump and Project 2025 and to tout the candidates we favor. Steve took it a step farther, putting together a Substack, "Democratic Perspectives," where our letter writers found an even larger audience around the nation.
