Initiative 2117, one of three measures bankrolled by a hedge fund billionaire who lives in Redmond, would "devastate funding for programs that reduce toxic air, expand our state’s air quality monitoring network, modernize school buildings, prevent wildfires, support clean transportation options, and reduce health disparities in communities most impacted by pollution," according to the No 2117 Coalition.
That's why the No 2117 Coalition includes more than 450 organizations, including firefighters, small business owners, and leading companies, to doctors, nurses, labor unions, environmental leaders, and Tribal Nations.
And now, Klickitat County residents can amplify the No 2117 Coalition's message. That's because we've joined forces with the No 2117 Coalition by scheduling a canvass in White Salmon, beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 3. If you're passionate about environmental causes and mitigating climate change, this is an event for you. We'll meet with No 2117 Coalition members at Rhinegarten Park, receive materials to distribute, and visit the homes of persuadable voters. The more people who volunteer, the more voters we'll be able to visit. Canvassers will receive training and support, and we should be finished by 6:30 p.m.
So let's gather a big Klickitat County group to canvass White Salmon. It's an important cause.
